Quantum hard-rods: a minimal model of a strongly correlated quantum gas

16 June / 14:00 - 15:00

Miłosz Panfil (University of Warsaw)

This talk addresses the quest for a minimal model capable of describing strongly correlated quantum matter. Specifically, we seek a model exhibiting complex behavior that cannot be explained by free dynamics, but which can at the same time be treated exactly. In this talk, I will describe such a model: the quantum gas of hard rods. I will discuss the computation of its dynamic structure factor and its quench dynamics. Additionally, I will explore the underlying quantum integrability of the model and its connection to the more renowned Lieb-Liniger model.
